ROCK'N'ROLL MUSIC TIME

Now the band has started playing and the audience is swaying
and the singer's just a'waitin' his cue
Then the drummer starts sweating 'cause he's frightened of forgetting
even though he's only had a few
As the bass starts a'pumpin' everybody starts a'jumpin' and their faces all start to shine
It's a Saturday night and you're feeling allright and it's rock'n'roll music time

Then the singer starts to sing and somebody breaks a string
and the roadies start to earn their wage
They change a few guitars but the band don't miss a bar
'cause they're building up a rage on stage
The guards are goin' crazy 'cause the atmosphere is hazy and the crowd is getting out of line
Can they hold them any longer 'cause the beat is getting stronger and it's rock'n'roll music time

It's rock'n'roll music time
it's rock'n'roll music time
It don't have to be in season
and you never need a reason for
rock'n'roll music time

When the show is nearly over and the night is turnin' colder
and the people start to head for home
Then the fun is just beginning there's the sound of people singing
and the dressing room is filled with foam
'cause there's a party going on and everybody's having fun
and you're just about to have a sip of wine
It's a Saturday night and you're feeling allright and it's rock'n'roll music time

It's rock'n'roll music time
it's rock'n'roll music time
It don't have to be in season
and you never need a reason for
rock'n'roll music time
